Stewardship

We believe in being faithful to what God has given to us. Biblical Stewardship teaches us that God is the owner and creator of everything, and we are managers of the investments he has made. Therefore, we recognize the purpose of His blessings. We have been blessed so that we can bless others. By doing so, we honor God with His treasures.

The apostle Paul spoke about this responsibility in terms of preaching the Gospel when He said,"If I were doing this on my own initiative, I would deserve payment. But I have no choice, for God has given me this sacred trust" (1 Corinthians 9:17 NLT).

As we understand our place in God's kingdom, our priorities begin to change. Instead of thinking about the resources that we have been given, we recognize that He is in control of everything. Our money, jobs, houses, automobiles, children, time, and talents have been given to us from Him. We are to live a life as people who are caretakers of God's blessings.

"We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves"

(2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT).
